Puzzle 1: The Therapists

Puzzle 1: The Therapists

Massage Therapy Schools

The class of Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, who graduated in 2013 was full of talented therapists who were also close friends. Each of these therapists: Paul, Robin, Heather, Matt and Jennifer, got together with a different classmate ( either Lindsay, Emily, Arron, Jana and Debbie) to open a new massage therapy clinic ( one of these is " Healing Hands"). Some of these clinics were opened in Canadian cities ( Summerside and Victoria) and some were opened overseas (like the one in Kathmandu, Nepal). Each of these clinics charged a different base rate for a 60 minute massage (55, 60, 65, 70 or 80 dollars). From the clues given below, determine which classmates were business partners, the name of their new clinic, the city in which they established their new business and the amount a 1 hour treatment costs at their establishment.

CLUES:

  • Lindsay has had to learn Finnish in order to communicate with some of her clients. She didn't name her business Kneaded Relief.

  • Debbie worked with Paul, and Emily named her business Stage Hands.

  • Arron's business, which isn't Kneaded Relief, charges 70$ per hour;  her business partner is not Jennifer.

  • Jana isn't the mastermind behind Kneaded Relief.

  • The clinic in Kathmandu charges the least amount of money, and the clinic partially owned by Robin charges the most.

  • Honeydew Massage Ltd. charges 60$ per hour, and Jennifer's clinic is called Active Therapy.

  • The clinic in Victoria is called Healing Hands. Heather gets to watch the matador's a lot because her clinic is in Madrid. Lucky Heather.

  • Matt's clinic is in a Canadian city.
